Sharon's Whole Wheat Bread

Serves: 3 loaves
Ingredients
- 1 T yeast
- 1 t sugar
- ½ c warm water
- 1 ½ t salt
- 1 vitamin c (crushed) 1000 mg unflavored
- or 2 T wheat gluten (makes bread less crumbly)
- 4 c hot water
- ¾ c honey
- ¾ c oil
- 6 c wheat flour (approximate)
- ¼ c 9 grain cracked cereal optional
Instructions
- Mix yeast, sugar and water and set aside until proofed. (Can use honey instead)
- Combine ingredients adding flour slowly one cup at a time until dough pulls away from sides of mixer.
- Grease counter, divide dough into 3 loaves and roll out. Then place in pans then place a thin damp cloth over loaves and let the dough rise at least one inch above pans. Preheat oven to 350 then place pans in oven for 35 minutes.
