Avocados, onions, tomatoes, garlic and spices in a perfect blend of yummy-ness. A great source of good fats.
Guacamole
My mother and I have the same recipe but she thinks I sneak extra things into this recipe because mine always turns out better than hers. Truthfully, I do.
Ingredients
- 3 avocados - peeled, pitted, and mashed
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1 t salt
- ½ c diced red onion
- 3 T chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
- 1 t minced garlic
- 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)
- additions: Tony’s Creole Seasoning, cumin, coriander and black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt.
- Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Stir in cayenne pepper.
- Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.
