This is a yummy sauce to eat with spring rolls or just about anything else! It is very easy and versatile. I love this but the garlic is a killer on the breath. (You know it’s bad when your breath wakes you up at night). In the future I would VERY lightly sautée the garlic in a little olive oil, being careful not to scorch it before I add it to the sauce.
Thai Nut Dipping Sauce
Prep time
Total time
Serves: 2 cups
Ingredients
- 1 C almonds
- ½ C olive oil
- ½ C tamari sauce
- ½ C agave
- 4 cloves garlic
Instructions
- Blend almonds in food processor or blender until very fine powder. Add rest of ingredients and blend until smooth.
Notes
Some additions to try: Fresh ginger, lime, red pepper flakes, coconut milk, chopped green onions, jalapenos. I love how this tastes with a lot of garlic, but don't love the garlic-y aftertaste, so I would always lightly cook the garlic before adding it to the sauce.
